ACTING TECHNIQUES CLASS EVERY WEDNESDAY S at 7PM SHARP!

Many of you know that I am an acting
teacher/coach and have been teaching for over 25 years. I have MFA's in acting and directing and I have studied and learned from some
of the best. Stella Adler, Eric Morris, Susan Strasberg, Sande Shurin the list
is VERY long. This past February I started a Cold Reading Techniques class at The Tre. It went very well. The improvement in all of
the actors was terrific.
Therefore, phase 2 of the acting class
is beginning on APRIL 28, 2010.
I would like to extend an offer to all of you to join this class.
Each will be a combination of every aspect of the craft that we need to
work on as actors to keep us focused, powerful and unforgettable at auditions,
on the set and the stage.
The following is the way the month will be structured:
WEEK ONE
6:30 SIGN IN for monologues
7-7:30 Relaxation tension is the actor's number one enemy we relax so we are
ready to work
7:30-8 Improv work with a partner you will be given a scenario and time to work
with one another on being present and seeing where that takes you
8-10 Monologues bring in a prepared 2-5 minute monologue we will work on
it using craft techniques and approaches to personalize the material
WEEK TWO
6:30 SIGN IN for scenes
7-7:30 Relaxation tension is the actor's number one enemy we relax so we are
ready to work
7:30-8 Dialogue work with your scenes exploring subtext, inner monologues, who
are you talking to, etc.?
8-10 SCENES Put up prepared 5 minute scenes
WEEK THREE
6:30 SIGN IN for cold reading technique work
7-7:30 Relaxation tension is the actor's number one enemy we relax so we are
ready to work
7:30-7:40 Scenes and partners assigned 10 minutes to work your partner on the
material just like in a Casting Director Workshop or some auditions
7:45-10 Scene order announced COLD READING TECHNIQUE work with a partner
or reader
WEEK FOUR
6:30 SIGN IN for exercises using material or just working with exercises
7-7:30 Relaxation tension is the actor's number one enemy we relax so we are
ready to work
7:30-10 Craft work
You are welcome to bring in audition material and we can work on that together
to prepare you.
I am trying to make this a reasonable as I can for all of you. I know in the
past I have paid between $200-$520 per month for class.
That hurts.
You can choose either:

Just email me by Monday if you are coming to class,
so I can have material for you.
